Arsenal win 2-0 against Fulham on Tuesday after a great Bukayo Saka performance in the closing stages.
An amazing Bukayo Saka Performance against Fulham
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka scored to mark his return to football against Fulham. He netted within seven minutes after coming off the bench at Emirates Stadium. He has been out for almost four months after picking up a hamstring injury in last December.
The England winger scored the winner in their 2-1 victory over the Cottagers. He has been out since the new year, but grabbed his goal coming off from the bench. His header turned out to be the matchwinner. Mikel Merino scored the opener in the first-half.
However, in that game defender Gabriel Magalhaes was taken off the field within first 16 minutes. He has suffered a hamstring injury in that fixture.
Rodrigo Muniz, Fulham forward, also scored a goal and had a chance to score earlier in the game but missed.
At present, the Gunners are in second place, 12 points behind Liverpool. The Reds preserved their gap with Everton in the Merseyside Derby, and got the only goal of the game from Diogo Jota to win 1-0 against their biggest rival.
Fulham’s performance
The Marco Silva‘s side were hoping to be back on track after their FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday. They travelled to the Emirates without losing their last three league games against the Arsenal. Those last three results included a win and two draws.
The Cottagers were unable to create better chances but Muniz got one goal back in the last minutes of the game. Muniz’s effort earlier in the game could have changed the results in the end. But he couldn’t score with the header and missed the target.
Next fixture for the Cottagers will be against Liverpool on the weekend at home.
