A horror show at Old Trafford as Liverpool thrash Man United

What felt like a nightmare to Man United fans, came at the hands of their bitter rivals, Liverpool. The Reds pummeled down the Red Devils with a humongous score of 5-0 on Sunday. An unexpected result was enough to shatter the hopes of the players and fans.

Liverpool without their centre-back Joel Matip, CDM Fabinho and right-winger Sadio Mane, managed to net 4 goals past Man Utd’s defence. The already frail looking Utd team managed to concede another goal early in the second half.

With manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already out of options, it seems like the Red Devils have hit rock bottom. It feels like that its high time Ole walks through the exit door.

Salah creates history at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’

Mohamed Salah broke apart the Man Utd team single-handedly. Even without his wing partner Mane, he was an unstoppable force. He crushed all hopes and faith with an assist and a hattrick. The ‘Pharaoh’ once again proved why he’s called the ‘Egyptian King’. No amount of praise will be enough for this player.

Salah not only hammered the Red Devils, but he also broke some records with his domination. Mo became the first-ever player to score a hattrick at Old Trafford. He is also now the African player with the most goals in Premier League history with 107, surpassing former Chelsea player, Didier Drogba.

Man United haunted by Liverpool with one of their worst defeats in history

The rather disastrous result is United’s worst-ever home defeat against Liverpool. It is also United’s first home loss to nil by five goals or more since February 1955, when Manchester City won 5-0 at Old Trafford.

The result goes down as a dark day in United’s history, like City’s 6-1 win at the OT under Sir Alex Ferguson’s management, and the 6-1 to Spurs last season.

Manchester United have now failed to beat Liverpool in their last seven PL face-offs.

The big question that still remains is what are Man Utd going to do next. With Ole Gunnar’s management under huge criticism, this seems like the final call for the Utd chiefs. They could either go ahead and continue to get thrashed with big insults against each team they play or they could bring in a new leader to guide this talent-filled team to the top.
