‘Absolutely outstanding’… Roy Keane believes that two Chelsea players played their best tonight

Pundit Roy Keane was astounded by two Chelsea players’ performances in tonight’s thrilling FA Cup victory over Aston Villa.

He told ITV Sport that he thought tonight’s match at Villa Park marked Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo’s best performances for the team since joining.

Chelsea effectively silenced a number of skeptics who surfaced in response to their recent performances and results. They defeated Leeds United 3-1 to secure their spot in the competition’s fifth round, which will be played at Stamford Bridge.

Fernandez’s incredible free kick give the blues what ultimately proves to be an insurmountable lead, completing the score. Also, Caicedo who had received a lot of criticism over the weekend, joined him in midfield. He appeared hungry and motivated.

Chelsea beat Villa: Keane is astounded by Fernandez and Caicedo

Keane was gushing about the two because he thought they met every requirement for tonight. Chelsea dominated the match.

He said: “Absolutely outstanding. The two of them dominated that midfield. Villa was very poor, but they looked strong, they looked aggressive. Especially Their passing was short and neat, decision making was excellent. They looked strong, physical. Two midfielders for Chelsea – outstanding.

Many people have a right to anticipate these kinds of performances from Chelsea on a regular basis given the price tags the club paid for both players. Now though, it will all be about keeping that form up in what is going to be a massive month for the blues, and the manager in particular.

In his press conference, Chelsea boss, Pochettino, said “We are going to fight, I don’t care what the people say. I’m not more sad or happy today after a win because we have experience, this type of project needs time and trust.
