AC Milan Chasing Chelsea Forward, AS Napoli Also In The Race

Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku was recently linked with Italian side AC Milan. Although there is no offer has been made yet for Lukaku the Italian giants really admire the Belgian and want to sign him in the summer transfer window.

As Chelsea are looking for a new center forward in the summer, the future of 31-year-old Lukaku at Stamford Bridge is too uncertain. And the Blues also want to sell Romelu Lukaku in the summer and try to focus on the young talents.

Despite Lukaku’s bright star with Chelsea, the Belgian striker has spent the last two seasons on loan spells to two different Italian clubs, first at Inter Milan and then at Roma. Last season Lukaku had a very good season with Roma, making 47 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and registering 4 assists. However, the performance will not change his position in Chelsea. In fact, the Blues are reluctant to send Romelu Lukaku on a loan spell as they want a permanent move this season. Chelsea could want to get a transfer fee of 38 million for the 31-year-old.

Will Romelu Lukaku Join AC Milan?

After the departure of French international Olivier Giroud, Ac Milan is looking a new strikers in the summer. Bologna’s striker Joshua Zirkzee is one of the players they were chasing. But it looks like the club is now out of the race to sign Joshua Zirkzee. So, they shift their focus to Romelu Lukaku. Milan was also linked with another Chelsea striker Armando Broja. Broja also spent half of the last season on a loan spell at Fulham, which was a impressive spell at Premier League.

Italian outlet DiMarzio reported that Ac Milan really like Lukaku and they want him in the squad. But there is one problem and that is the salary. So, Ac Milan needs to convince the Belgian to reduce his salary demands before making any official offer for Lukaku.

Apart from Ac Milan, another Italian giant Napoli are also keen to sign Romelu Lukaku. Last month Napoli appointed former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte as their new manager. So, Lukaku’s move to Napoli will reunion him with Antonio Conte. Napoli are also concerned about the striker position after speculation arose about Victor Osimhen’s future at Napoli. Although no official offer has been made yet, a move to Napoli for the Belgian could happen in the future.
