AC Milan will be taking on English giants Liverpool in a must win Champions League group stage match on Tuesday. The two sides have played some iconic games in the Champions League over the years. The neutrals will be hoping this would not be any different.
This game will be crucial for Milan as their Champions League survival hope depends on it.
AC Milan are currently 3rd in their group with 4 points. They are 1 point behind Porto and level on points with Atletico Madrid but are in front of them because of their superior goal difference.
Porto and Atletico Madrid will be facing each other in their last game of group stage. For Milan to qualify, they will have to beat Liverpool and hope the other two teams play put a draw.
They could also go through if Atletico beat Porto but their margin of victory should be same or below the margin of Milan’s victory. Either way, it is essential that Milan beat Liverpool in their game for them to enter the last 16.

AC Milan vs Liverpool: Team News
Milan’s list of injured forwards has another addition to it. Pietro Pellegri limped off after 15 minutes in their last game against Salernitana. He joins Olivier Giroud, Samu Castillejo and Ante Rebic on the injury list. Which ensures Zlatan Ibrahimovic starting the game.
David Calabria is also set to miss out the crucial fixture and Simon Kjaer will be out for several months with his ACL injury.
Possible AC Milan starting line-up
Maignan; Kalulu, Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic
Predicting Liverpool’s starting 11 for this game would be a little tricky as they could rest some players for the Premier League.
Joe Gomez and Naby Kieta have returned to the training ground for the English club, but it would make little sense to risk them in a game that is of little importance to their season.
Firmino, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot will be sidelined due to injury. Milner will also miss the game due to suspension.
Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp could switch things up a little and give players like Konate and Minamino a start.
Possible Liverpool starting line-up
Alisson; Williams, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Thiago, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Origi, Minamino.
AC Milan 2-2 Liverpool
Despite it being a must win game for the home side, it’s going to be very difficult for them to beat the Liverpool side with the kind of injuries they have. Liverpool have a very balanced squad and can control the game even after rotating their squad. It will be a close game and possibly a high scoring one as well. But we think it will end in a draw with Milan having to settle will a Europa League finish or even less.
