“Advantage Liverpool” for signing this talented midfielder

Liverpool is reportedly the frontrunner for signing Aurelien Tchouameni, beating Real Madrid and PSG.

According to Julien Maynard, it’s an ‘advantage for Liverpool’ for signing Tchouameni from Monaco this summer. However, the journalists are not yet too sure as his future ‘has not yet been decided’. Moreover, PSG ‘are still hoping’.

Therefore, the French giants have not yet given up the prospects of signing the youngster.

Maynard reports, “But it is Liverpool and Real Madrid who hold the rope to welcome the international midfielder from Monaco next season (advantage Liverpool, for the hour)”.

It would be quite costly for the Reds to sign the teenager. He reportedly could be acquired for €70million (£59m).

This move could surely bolster their hopes of a quadruple next season. As for this season, hopes for a quadruple might be over.

Moreover, if they could beat the Los Blancos and PSG to sign Tchouameni- their reputation could be boosted. As, before Klopp, they were frequently beaten to their top transfer targets.

How important could be Tchouameni to Liverpool?

The disappointing draw against Tottenham Hotspurs’ last match could essentially justify their urge to sign a new midfielder next season.

Considering, Fabinho is robust at midfield and he has shown his grit at breaking a nice opponent flow.

He has shown his class in stopping opponents from progressing with the ball. However, he has somewhat lacked the innovation when with the ball.

Still, criticizing him for those small mistakes may seem like a bit of exaggeration.

However, a backup at midfield would not be very hurtful for the Reds at this time.

The midfielder has got a lot of match time this season. However, still, he has not looked too fatigued- some rest might be beneficial for the Brazilian.

Liverpool would surely have their plans for transfers this season. Moreover, they would try to wrap up this transfer as quickly as possible.
