Arsenal have announced that their academy goalkeeper Alexei Rojas have signed his first professional contract with Gunners as he wishes to play for them in the future.
Alexei Rojas have played 11 games for Gunners in the academy last season, he has also played all six games in the UEFA Youth League group stage last season.
He has also represented Colombia at the international youth Level and not just Colombia he has also represented Russia and England.
He was also the part of the Arsenal under-18s squad as they have finished as the runner-up in the FA Youth cup in 2022/23.
Alexei had a interview with the journalist where he said that it was unbelieving that Arsenal have signed him and the club wants him to stay. He also said that he feels proud of himself and he is very happy to with the work and performances that he have given for the club. It was his dream since his childhood to sign a professional contract with Arsenal and play for the team.

He further said, now he is here and it keeps motivating him to work hard and earn a place in the Arsenal squad and to reach to his goal of becoming the best goalkeeper in the world in the future.
Alexei continued by saying, Arsenal is a club which has very rich history and he has fell in love with this history, It has grown more stronger in my heart and everybody in the club have made me felt that I belong here and they have welcomed me with great love.
He also talked about his family, he told that his has always been supported towards him, they have supported him in his good and bad times and he could not have achieved anything without their support especially his father, he is the one who has been with me the day I joined the club, he has been supporting and encouraging me.
My father also taught me a lot in the time of lockdown, we had spent a lot of quality time with each other and strengthens our bond. I am very grateful for everything he has done for me, for every sacrifice he has done, and I will continue on this path, the path which will lead me to become the best goalkeeper in the world and I will do that with my father being on my side the whole time.

Not just him, there are a lot of academy players that have recently signed their first professional contract with Arsenal and will play for the Gunners in the future.
Alexei has commented on that saying it is great to achieve something like this with them and also to share the same amount of happiness with them. He further said it will fun to play with all my teammates in the future and will achieve great things together.
The interview continued further, he said it is a fantastic achievement for everyone one of us, there are many of us who has been here for many years at Arsenal now. All of us have developed a strong feeling and connection with the club and everyone one of has a dream to become a professional player and play for Arsenal and to have long big career. It is great achieve all these things together and I know that we all will going to have a great and a successful career and will give our everything in the under 21 team.
