Manchester United youngster Alvaro Fernandez seems to impress United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as per AS. The 18-year-old joined the red devils back in 2020 for a free transfer from Real Madrid. And since then Alvaro Fernandez has perfectly grasped his new role at Manchester United camp.

The Spaniard started his football career playing for the Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna, and later on transferred to Real Madrid. And playing for Madrid since 2017 Fernandez decided to take on a new challenge as he signed for Manchester United in 2020.

Joining the red devils Fernandez was initially playing for the under 18 side, where he appeared 9 times, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist. Following his impressive form in the left-back, Alvaro Fernandez was promoted to the under 23 side.

And playing in under 23, Fernandez has appeared 25 times while scored 3 goals and 6 assists in those matches. Following his quick development, Alvaro Fernandez has caught the eye of United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. As per the report, Fernandez was seen training with United’s first team, in which Cristiano Ronaldo also featured.

Seeing this it seems United manager Solskjaer might be giving Alvaro Fernandez his first team very soon. While the youngster will also be featuring for the Spanish under-19 side. However, Fernandez should keep on performing like that to become a regular starter for Manchester United in coming years.

Manchester United under 23 side has till now played three matches in the Premier League 2, and Alvaro Fernandez has featured in all of them. Playing those matches, Fernandez is directly involved in two goals while assisted 1.

The youngster bagged one assist in the opening fixture as Manchester United faced Leicester City under-23. While scored each of his two goals against Chelsea under 23 and Manchester City under 23. However, his scoring against Manchester City didn’t help much as United lost 4-2. While Fernandez will be missing the next game due to seeing a late yellow card in the match. But we are sure Alvaro Fernandez has more to offer in the coming days with his talent in the left-back position.
