Gulf oil is eying a return to Formula 1 with reports indicating a possible sign-up with the Williams team.

Gulf oil has indicated a possible return to the Formula 1 grid. After the end of McLaren’s partnership with the brand last year, it can be seen again. However, these time reports indicate that the Williams F1 team will be the one that signs with the brand.

Gulf Oil became famous with McLaren for its one-off liveries during the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix. The special livery highlighted the brand’s colors throughout the car. The special livery was loved and praised by many fans.

Williams is expected to be the team of choice for the global oil company. Williams signed new American driver Logan Sargeant for this season. The American company might follow their driver to the team to support him. Sargeant will be the first American driver on the F1 grid since 2015.

Franco Colapinto – the new Junior driver for the Williams also has the backing of this Global Oil Company.

If these rumors turn out true, this will be a major boost for the Williams team. The company will bring major cash to the team which will help the side and move further up the grid. Williams is also undergoing a transition with few shifts in managing roles. The appointment of a new team principal is also part of it.

The 2023 Formula 1 season can be a challenging one for Williams. The team was the last in the Constructors Championship in 2022 scoring just eight points throughout the season.
