Carlo Ancelotti has spoken out claiming that he has “never considered” bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to the Bernabeu. Ancelotti coached Ronaldo in his first stint as manager of the Spanish giants between 2013-15. He had nothing but words of praise for the Portuguese but dismissed reports that Madrid wants him back.

Speculation links the Juventus forward with several clubs. The notable names being Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester City. However, Ancelotti has denied El Chiringuito’s report that they have shared a word.

Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my love and respect. I have never considered signing him. We are looking forward,” read Ancelotti’s tweet.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s next destination remains the subject of much speculation. His current deal at Juventus runs till 2022. He could be on the move before the transfer window shuts in August. Nonetheless, a return to Real Madrid is unlikely.

It was under Ancelotti that Cristiano Ronaldo was able to become a European champion twice, after being unable to achieve the same success under Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho.

In his two seasons working with the Italian, the 36-year-old bagged 112 goals. In the second season, he reached an impressive 61 goals, a career high.

Ronaldo claimed the Capocannoniere last season, netting 29 times and must now defend the same for the 2021/22 campaign

Reactting to Ancelotti comment Ronaldo speaks out

Ronaldo breaks his silence, taking to social media : “Anyone who knows me is aware of how focused I am on my work…… However, in view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position.” Ronaldo wrote.

He continued stating that true Real Madrid fans would have him in their hearts and likewise. Speaking further, he expresses his displeasure that no one tried to find out the actual truth. He affirms his commitment and focus, preparing for new challenges he must face.
