The long saga ends as Andre Santos loan move to Vasco da Gama from Chelsea has been registered.

On Thursday morning, there were some doubt over the player’s appearance in the weekend clash against Flamengo. As his signing was yet to be official and it was claimed he was not yet registered with CBF.

However, that’s not true, as Vasco then announced the deal with Chelsea and Globo Esporte later claimed that it’s all fine with registration. Santos can now feature to play in the Derby on the weekend. The Brazilian teenager already trained with the first team this week.

Chelsea loaned out the midfielder after they were unable to apply for his work permit in England. Santos had a fantastic U-20 South American Championship and helped Brazil to win the tournament.

Brazil’s interim manager Ramon Menezes will be calling up the squad on Friday and if Santos gets selected, then it will help him to get that visa.

FORMER BRAZIL STAR JUNINHO DESCRIBED SANTOS AS A ‘BEAST’

According to talkSport, Former Brazilian superstar Juninho praised the youngster back in June. He said:-

“I’ve never seen a player, at 18, as ready as he is,

“Physically, he’s a beast, technically he’s on a high level. He’s not going to be better than me, he’s going to be much better than me.”

Moreover, Santos has a bright future at Stanford Bridge in future. He plays as a box-to-box midfielder and can take a huge workload at this young age. As Chelsea are currently struggling, Santos can become the difference maker next season. The player already has first-team experience in Brazil and has won loads of praise due to his footballing craft.
