Chelsea got Lavia replacement in Andrey Santos, seal £51m deal and, much more on the Blues.
Andrey Santos as Lavia replacement
The Blues have a thing to invest in the young talents for the future. More than any other team in the football world, Chelsea always look to secure the future. Meanwhile, the fans think otherwise. The have the opinion that the vision for the future is given a lot of priority that the current team is neglected. The team one for today is struggling to perform.
Enzo Maresca is finding it hard to keep up the good form. The club wants the Italian tactician to take charge of the players for the next generation as well. Currently his side is having a lot of issues to perform in the Premier League.
Andrey Santos has been signed in 2023. He has only got the preseasons to show his abilities. Although, he has been impressive at RC Strasbourg for the last 12 months. He has become one of the best midfielders at his age.
He has previously spent six months at Nottingham Forest but didn’t had a lot of game time there. However, he has excelled in Ligue 1. He has been one of the best performers in France. The youngster is seen as possibly one of the most successful loanees currently there is.
Estevao, bought for £51m, to join Andrey Santos at Chelsea
Estevao Willian is considered as one of the best emerging talents from Brazil. It wouldn’t be harsh to say that he is on another level than Santos. He has already matched Neymar’s records with great Serie A performances at Palmeiras. The teenager is already amongst the most talented attackers in the South American continent.
Due to being just 17-years-old, he can’t join Chelsea officially. He will turn eighteen next month. He will be expected to join the English side as early as possible. His next steps will be determined.
He broke plenty of records during the season. But beating Neymar’s record in the Brazilian domestic league has made headlines. Also he is younger then Neymar was while earning the feat.
Chelsea managed to get the youngster early without having a serious fight for him. The fee paid was around £51 million in total. That’s a huge amount for a teenager but they think it will workout their way.
Real Madrid were interested to bring him to the Spanish capital last year. They were keen to see him with Endrick. They were planning to repeat the Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo move. But the English side got to their target first. They’ll will be looking to get the best out of him in England.
The Blues have solved the striker issues?
Football pundit and former England football professional, Jason Cundy thinks that Pedro Neto has solved the London club’s striker crisis. He claims that the team were struggling with Nkunku playing as centre-forward. But since Neto has started playing as a No.9, the issue has been largely solved.
Speaking on talkSPORT Cundy said: “There is so much to love about his (Neto’s) game. He’s enthusiastic, his energy levels, he’ll run and chase, he chases lost causes. His hold up play [against Southampton] was outstanding.
“He gets in front of defenders and is an option. That option with [Christopher] Nkunku is not there. Because Neto’s a willing a runner, his hold up play is good and brings in players around him. He gives you a threat in behind. That was the big issue we had. With Nkunku up top, that threat in behind is nullified.”
Author’s Opinion
Andrey Santos is seen as a Lavia replacement at the Blues. The youngster is surely talented but it will be too early to say how he’ll do in the Premier League.
Another emerging talent, Estevao, will be looking to join the club in the next few months.
Enzo Maresca will have very vast number of players with a lot of potential. It will be interesting to see how these young stars perform under the Italian mastermind.
