Atletico Madrid want to sign Chelsea’s young talent Andrey Santos. He could be available for around €40 million.
Andrey Santos to La Liga this summer?
As per reports by Fichajes, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Andrey Santos from Chelsea. They are looking to add more depth into their midfield for the next season. And the club also like what they see in the Brazilian.
The midfielder has came through the ranks during his time at Vasco da Gama. Since then, he has got a plenty of attention from big European sides. Chelsea eventually made his signing in 2023 with the Brazilian outfit.
He moved to west London after playing 6 months with his parent club. He then joined Nottingham Forest on loan from the Blues, but struggled to find his rhythm there. Later on, he joined RC Strasbourg on a loan move for 18 months.
He has made quite an impact in France. He has been involved in 18 goals in his 27 games so far this campaign. The player also contributes in the defense as well.
Santos may leave Chelsea this summer transfer window
Chelsea is still figuring out what to do with Santos after the end of the season. This summer may present an opportunity to sell him. He may have a role in Enzo Maresca’s system in future. Therefore, the Blues let him leave for around €40 million.
Atletico Madrid are very keen on the 20-year-old player. The club are tracking Andrey’s movements. They think he will be great fit, with his style of play and physicality.
However, they will face competition from other European sides as well to sign him.
The Brazil international’s asking price of €40 million might be an issue. For a young player like him, Atletico would surely think twice before they make an offer.
