Antonio Conte has already prepared his transfer wishlist at Spurs

Following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte has agreed on a two-year deal to take charge of Spurs. Conte, whose appointment is all but done for Spurs has made up his transfer list of the players he wants at the club.

As per Calciomercato, Conte has requested a transfer budget of £237.7 million, all of his targets being from Serie A. The former Inter Milan boss also wants some of his targets as soon as January.

Here are the players that Conte would like to get from the transfer window at Spurs:-

To strengthen the attack, Federico Chiesa from Juventus has been shortlisted along with Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. The 24-years-old forward Chiesa has been instrumental for Italy in the Euro 2020 and also for Juventus. Whereas the other forward, Dusan Vlahovic, has been a goal machine for Fiorentina and is someone Conte would like to see in the squad to replace an ‘out of form’ Harry Kane. Dusan Vlahovic is valued at £90 million, while Chiesa might cost between £67.9 million and £76.4 million.

The one midfielder he wants from his former club is Marcelo Brozovic who is also out of contract next summer. Brozovic has played a crucial role in Conte’s time at Inter Milan. His ability to hold and control the game has helped Conte win the Serie A.

Conte has focused on upgrading Spurs’ defence, with three of the top defenders in Serie A on his transfer list. Matthijs de Ligt is considered to be the best young defender in the world and could cost around £59.4 million. Stefan de Vrij, who is available for around £25.5 million, is another former club player he wants to sign. Finally, AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli, a 26-year-old centre-back who has made 10 appearances for the Rossoneri and is worth £8.5 million.

For a club that was struggling to get the signature of any manager, has now got the signatures of Conte. It is a huge plus sign for Tottenham Hotspur but the results won’t come if the manager is not provided what he wants. Although it is a positive sign for Spurs, it can also make a huge hole in the transfer budget.

Conte’s tactical genius will obviously bring out the best from this Spurs side but to win trophies and challenge for the title he has to get the resources he wants which is quite difficult given the state of the market now.

Daniel Levy will do all he can to keep a manager of Conte’s calibre as there are very few options that are better than Antonio Conte at this moment.
