ARSENAL AND SERGEJ MILINKOVIC SAVIC TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Arsenal are in a pole position to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the midfielder is now open to a move to the Premier League. It also claims that the midfielder wanted Juventus or Real Madrid to sign him. However, Real Madrid does not need the midfielder signing. Whereas, Juventus will have to sell first to buy first. Hence, at the moment, Juventus are trying to sign free transfers.

Therefore, at the moment Arsenal are only the team with a serious interest in the Serbian midfielder. The report also claims that the agent of the midfielder is already in talks with the Gunners over personal terms. However, the Gunners have not yet made the bid for Milinkovic Savic. Although, reports in Italy claim that the Gunners will make an offer after completing the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk. Hence, it is clear that the Premier League giants will have to stretch their budget a little bit for the potential midfielder signing.

THE SERBIAN MIDFIELDER WANTS LAZIO TO RECEIVE MONEY FOR HIS SALE

A number of reports also claim that the midfielder has told his agent to finalize the move to the Gunners as soon as possible in January. This is because he wants Lazio to receive good money for his sale. Hence, he will leave the club in January and not 2024 on a free transfer. The report also claims that Newcastle United are monitoring the situation. However, the midfielder wants to go to a club that offers him European football every season. Hence, he prefers a move to Arsenal.

However, the fee is going to be an issue for the Gunners. Lazio‘s President has publicly said that the club will demand over 100 million for the sale of their star midfielder in January. The valuation is too high because of his brilliant performances for club and country this season. Hence, Lazio’s President is refusing to reduce his valuation. However, the report claims that the Gunners are ready to pay 50 million for the Gunners. It also claims that the Italian giants are trying to offer him a new contract.

Hence, it is clear the future of Sergej Milinkovic Savic is still open. Therefore, Arsenal will hope that they can complete the signing given the right opportunity. It is because they do need to sign a holding midfielder to give Thomas Partey competition. However, a summer deal can also be not ruled out.
