Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich. They have identified him as an ideal alternative to Raphinha.

The Gunners were interested in him alongside Chelsea and Tottenham. However, the Brazilian international signed for Barcelona.

ARSENAL ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR THE WINGER

The club is still in the market for a new wide man before the transfer window shuts. This is despite signing wonderkid Marquinhos from Brazil. However, the young winger will likely head out on loan for the 2022-23 season. Arsenal were also linked to bringing Serge Gnabry back to the club. However, the winger instead penned a new long-term deal with Bayern until 2026.

Arteta is looking for a winger who can add a new dimension to his side. He is also likely to let Nicolas Pepe leave the club. However, the club are yet to receive any bid for him. There is a high chance Pepe might leave the club on a season-long loan. Now it seems Mikel Arteta already has a replacement planned for it. However, it will take a big bid to bring him the player to the club.

LEROY SANE AND THE GUNNERS LINKS FULL STORY

The name mentioned in the club’s circle is Leroy Sane. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, there have been rumblings surrounding a possible move of Leroy Sane to Arsenal. However, he also adds that a move to La Liga is more likely. “I’ve not heard rumblings at the Chelsea end, I’ve actually heard more rumblings from Arsenal that this was a name being considered at the beginning of the window.

However, the reports also add the player has been offered to Real Madrid. Although, Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti does not expect his side to make any signings. The winger would also command a £59m figure to leave the Allianz Arena in the current window. This would be an ambitious move by Mikel Arteta and the owners of the cub. Sane has already worked with Mikel Arteta when he was the assistant manager at Manchester City.

The attacker still has three years left on his current deal. But Bayern are also reluctant to let him leave the club after losing Lewandoski to Barcelona. The German international since arriving at the German club has scored 24 goals and provided 27 assists in 89 games for the club.
