Arsenal believes that they have a real chance to sign Barcelona star Ferran Torres. Arsenal will be looking to bolster their attack this transfer window. Since Gabriel Jesus injury, they are looking to sign new attacking forwards. The Brazilian striker is said to miss out on three months of game time. This left Arteta with Eddie Nketiah as the only senior team striker. Arsenal have been linked to many attacking players since the injury of the Brazilian. News outlets claim that Arsenal are now eyeing a move for the former Manchester City player Ferran Torres. Ferran Torres had only joined Barcelona last January. But he is yet to find proper game time under Xavi. Reports suggest that Arsenal might have a chance to sign the ‘world-class striker’.

Arsenal might have an opportunity to sign Ferran Torres

Journalist Dean Jones claims that Arsenal are a huge admirer of Ferran Torres. They had even asked about the possibility to sign the player over the summer as well. The player is still struggling to find proper game time after Barcelona signed Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski. Arsenal feels that they might lure him to Emirates for this. James told news outlets,

“They really like Ferran Torres, and they clearly believe he might become available because they inquired about him in the summer as well,”

He further added,

“So, if they’re sniffing around him again now, they sense that something’s up.”

Despite Spain’s shocking exit from the World Cup, Ferran Torres have managed to impress the critics. He managed to bag two goals in the 4 appearances he made for the Spanish national team. Torres failed to nail down the game time at Manchester City as well.

The youngster will definitely be a brilliant addition to the Arsenal side if they manage to seal the deal. Torres had previously worked with Mikel Arteta back in Manchester City. He is capable of playing in any position in the front line. Torres will definitely add quality to the Arsenal squad if he decides to join them.
