According to The Sun, Arsenal looks forward to bringing Serge Gnabry back at the Emirates Stadium. The 26-year-old has been an important part of Bayern Munich for quite a long time now. However, he has mentioned that he would like to return to Arsenal if the opportunity arises in the future.

Serge Gnabry left Arsenal in 2016 for Bayern Munich where he earned the status of world-class. He had a good start at Arsenal and was making an impact in the first team. A knee injury in 2014 ended his season with Arsenal. When he returned from injury, he was loaned out to West Brom from the Gunners.

This is where his time in England went downhill as Arsenal called him back after just half a season. Then West Brom manager Tony Pulis was not a fan of Gnabry and the youngster made only 3 appearances for his team. An injury and a failed loan helped Gnabry make up his mind on leaving Arsenal.

Serge Gnabry is now facing tough competition at Bayern Munich with great depth in their squad. As a result, he might be open to a new move and he has previously expressed his desire to rejoin Arsenal. Moreover, if Arsenal will be playing in the Champions League then that will be a huge plus.

Why Arsenal should sign Serge Gnabry in summer?

Gnabry’s contract with Bayern Munich is expiring in June 2023 and it hasn’t been extended yet. Arsenal could get him for a bargain in the summer as the Champions League Winner has the ability to lift Arsenal up. He can use his experience of the highest level and help Arsenal in the Champions League and also in the Premier League.

His pace and directness in attack will help Arsenal create more chances in attack. He will also create a sense of performing better among the other Arsenal forwards. That will force the other players to perform at their best constantly and give the manager a headache while selecting the lineup.

Gnabry has won every possible trophy with Bayern Munich, even the Champions League where he was a very important player. Arsenal have improved from what they were a few seasons ago. It would certainly be a challenge for a player of his quality to compete and win with Arsenal in the Champions League.

These Gnabry stats show just how good he has been for Bayern Munich. If he contributes that much on a regular basis for Arsenal, he can surely take them to the Champions League every season and make them a title contender. However, Arsenal will face strong competition from other clubs for the signature of Serge Gnabry.
