Arsenal causes a Nottingham “Forest Fire”

Arsenal has made quite a dramatic return in the race for the Premier League by humiliating Nottingham Forest.

A NEW HOPE FOR ARSENAL

Mikel Arteta’s side has started his starting XI with Declan Rice, Thomas Partey, and Kai Havertz all dropped on the bench.

However, it was seen that Forest was at par with Arsenal. But soon, they were taken aback by the Odegaard and Saka’s brilliance.

The duo started a dangerous gameplay that created dominance over Nuno Espirito’s side.

This was the first time since the Norwegian skipper returned from his ankle injury. Whereas, Saka was dispatched at first.

Eventually, this power attack led Nottingham Forest to make hasty decisions. This, in turn, resulted in Arsenal leading 1-0 in the first half.

Arsenal trolled Nottingham Forest. It was never too late before another goal occurred. Saka then teamed up with Thomas Partey for a goal. This resulted in the Ghanaian midfielder scoring from outside the area.

Odegaard has currently become the key to the treasure of the Gunners. Not only did Odegaard return with a blast, but also the youngest debutant Ethan Nwaneri has bagged a goal in his name.

Overall, Arsenal dominated over Nottingham Forest. Forest squad was helpless.

ARSENAL 3 – 0 NOTTINGHAM FOREST PLAYER RATINGS

David Raya (6/10): Did not have anything to do, but held his ground. So, overall cautious.

Jurrien Timber (8/10): Timber held his ground tightly. Great chemistry with Odegaard and Saka down the right. Efficient, pure, and no-nonsense in tight spaces.

William Saliba (8/10): Saliba had played his solid form vividly. Held his ground against the Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi.

Gabriel Magalhaes (7/10): Great passing ability through the defense. Allowed freedom to Saliba to take down Taiwo. Overall nice passing ability.

Riccardo Calafiori (7/10): Returned only for a short time. But he did not disappoint at all. Dealt with the speed of Anthony Elanga. Marked his spot in such a short period.

Jorginho (7.5/10): This Italian has already impressed at the beginning. Though he was withdrawn because of the yellow card, he still played technical and kept possession.

Mikel Merino (6/10): Needs a little more time in possession play. Still, managed to calmly take down the opposition counter-press. Camping in the opponent’s territory.

Martin Odegaard (10/10): The main man of this squad. Probably the best first 45 minutes of Arsenal’s attacking play. Knows how to operate the in-game system. A talented player indeed.

Bukayo Saka (9/10): The star boy of Arsenal. Would have been more honorable if got another goal. But, his first-half display was outstanding.

Gabriel Jesus (7/10): A fairly better start for this Brazilian. After a horrible start to the season, he finally contributed to the team. Distributed fairly in the squad.

Leandro Trossard (7/10): Even during the international break, maintained a composed performance. Helped the left and in the back in the final third.

Substitutes:

Thomas Partey (8/10): Came as a sudden addition, replaced Jorginho and marked his name on the scoreline.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (6.5/10): Helping Calafiori in the second half after his return.

Ethan Nwaneri (8/10): A debut scored his debut goal in the last ten minutes. Another potential having an excellent impact.

Raheem Sterling (6/10): On-loan Chelsea man’s cameo role. Replaced Saka and provided the assist for Nwaneri.

The player of the match was Martin Odegaard. The match ended on a positive note on Arteta’s side. Now, the main challenge remains is the matchup against the top team Liverpool.

Players are in good form. The system seems to be working pretty well under Mikel Arteta.
