According to SportBild via Sport Witness, Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams, while he has a €40 million release clause in his contract. Leipzig have protected some of their players with release clauses because of their business in the past. They are willing to let go of their players but want enough funds in return.

The transfers of Timo Werner and Dayot Upamecano have made RB Leipzig realize to tie their players with release clauses. Some players are thinking of using Leipzig as a base for their move towards a big club. Lately, Arsenal are thinking to make a move for the signature of Tyler Adams. Nevertheless, there are no such reports if Arsenal are in contact with the club.

Arsenal have lifted their season and it seems that Arteta has some backing from the board for now. The Gunners currently sit fifth in the Premier League table above Manchester United. While if Arteta continues to have the backing then more attention will be paid towards Adams. While if Arsenal activates the release clause then Leipzig will get a profit of around €2.76 million, which is a good deal for both parties if it is going to happen.

Why RB Leipzig star is perfect for Arsenal?

Arsenal have learned their lesson about replacing their players well, after failing to replace Kolasinac, while Tierney was forced off injured. Following, Xhaka had to play as an unconventional left-back. This caused them a defeat against Villarreal in Spain and a spot in the Europa League Final.

The Gunners have to make sure they get a player in midfield and a right-back. Thanks to Tyler Adams’ versatility, he is able to play both in midfield and as a right-back. While he can also play as a holding midfielder and Arsenal’s policy to get younger players fits him under their radar. The 22-year-old midfielder must be thrilled with his links towards Arsenal and has the potential to be a starter instead of a backup player.

It makes perfect sense for the Gunners to go for Adams in winter, as they have to get someone who can fill the spaces. They will get themselves a quality player and a player who will later challenge for his spot in the squad. If they are able to make money out of player sales from the likes of Kolasinac and Nketiah, this could be an even better deal financially for them. Arsenal looks forward to sealing their place in the Champions League for next season and this signing can prove to be very important for them in achieving their objective.
