Arsenal forward is going to make a new club record

Arsenal are in great form this season as the Gunners haven’t tasted a single defeat so far and are currently in the third position in the Premier League. While the whole team contributes to the Gunners’ success, one player continuously gives his best and scores goals in almost every single match. The German international Kai Havertz is in great form just like the Arsenal team. The forward scored 7 goals in the last 7 home matches for the Gunners.

“Seven Heaven” for Arsenal striker Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has scored a goal in every single home match for the Gunners this season. If we take Arsenal’s final day match against Everton in the last season and add that match with all the six home matches of this season, Kai Havertz is on the scoresheet in every single match at Emirates. The German international has scored against Wolves, Brighton, Bolton, Leicester, PSG, and Southampton this season at home. And if we add the game against Toffees of the last season, that means he scored in every home game for the Gunners.

Havertz is closing in on a historic arsenal milestone

This brilliant form pushed him into one of his milestones. Kai Havertz is just one more goal at home to away from that Milestone. Only three players in the history of the Arsenal football club have ever scored eight goals in eight straight home games. If the German international can score again against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, he will join that list.

Three players are already on that list including Arsenal’s record goal-scorer Thierry Henry, who scored eight goals in eight straight home games in 2000. The other two names on that list are Doug Lishman, who achieved this milestone in 1954, and Jimmy Brain, who scored eight goals in eight straight home games back in 1927.

Kai Havertz already made a personal milestone after scoring six goals in the first straight home games this season. The Arsenal striker became the second player in the club’s history to achieve this along with Doug Lishman during the 1954/55. Now the 25-year-old is just one more goal away from another personal milestone.

The German international started his English football career with Chelsea in 2020, before joining the Gunners in the summer of 2023. The three seasons with Chelsea were that much fruitful for the 25-year-old. That’s why everyone raised their eyebrow when Mikel Arteta paid ยฃ65 million for Kai Havertz in the 2023 summer transfer window, because of his performance with Chelsea. But, now it looks like that was the right move by Mikel Arteta as Havertz showed his class on the field. Although Havertz suffered the initial stage after joining Arsenal, now looks like the German international is enjoying the best form of his career.

More Arsenal news

Amidst of good news, one bad news is coming out for all the Arsenal fans. Winger Bukayo Saka picked up an injury in the international break during England’s match against Greece last week. Arsenal already lost their captain Martin Odegaard after the Norwegian got injured in last month’s international break and is expected to come at the end of this month. After the injury of Martin Odegaard, now another injury blow for the Gunners. Saka is one of the most crucial members of the Arsenal squad, and his absence will definitely impact the Gunners’ games in the upcoming matches.

After the international break, Mikel Arteta’s men will travel to Bournemouth for their next Premier League fixtures. It is expected that it will be an easy win for the Gunners as Bournemouth are struggling in this season. It will be interesting to see, how Mikel Arteta will set up the squad without the availability of Bukayo Saka.
