Arsenal forward will be leaving for Premier League rivals

According to the Guardian, Crystal Palace are working to complete the deal of Arsenal forward, Eddie Nketiah, this transfer window. Nketiah is the second homegrown talent expected to leave this transfer window, after Emile Smith Rowe’s move to Fulham. Crystal Palace are confident to complete the deal for a fee of £30m. Nketiah was close to joining Nottingham Forest, after both clubs agreed on a deal for the England striker. However, the move collapsed over personal terms between the player and the club. Crystal Palace lost their star forward, Michael Olise, to Bayern Munich this summer.

Crystal Palace will be looking to reinforce their attack after losing to West Ham in the Premier League. Eddie Nketiah will become one of the highest earners at Crystal Palace, after this deal will be completed. Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is confident with this transfer despite injury problems in the Arsenal attack. Arsenal are lucky to complete the signing of Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad after injury to Gabriel Jesus.

The Gunners are also looking for a decent winger in the transfer market as a backup for the star boy, Bukayo Saka. Nico Williams was a target for the Gunners before the Spanish winger decided to stay with Athletic Bilbao for another season.

Arsenal about to finish their transfer business for the summer

Fans are criticizing Arsenal for not signing a world-class striker this summer. Arsenal tried signing AFC Bournemouth’s, Dominic Solanke, who instead went to their arch-rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, this summer. Alexander Isak of Newcastle United and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins were also potential options for the Gunners. However, these signings cannot be completed due to financial reasons. Arsenal were also linked with Sporting Lisbon’s Swedish forward, Viktor Gyökeres, who won the League title last season. However, many fans think the Gunners will not sign more players this summer.

Arsenal managed to sign Italian sensation, Riccardo Calafiori, this summer. The Italian defender helped Bologna secure a fifth place in the Serie-A table last season. This helped the Italian club qualify for the Champions League. However, Bologna’s great team from last season met the same fate as Ajax’s historical team under Erik Ten Hag. Bologna’s manager, Thiago Motta, took the Juventus job this summer. Joshua Zirkzee left the club to join Manchester United.

David Raya also made a permanent move to Arsenal this summer. The goalkeeper has the complete trust of the manager and the fans.

Mikel Arteta is off to a great start to the new Premier League season

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has done wonders with this club. The difference in the quality is amazing and shows how far the club has come. The Gunners ended up as the runners-up for two consecutive seasons. Mikel Arteta’s teacher Pep Guardiola managed to win the league both times. However, this season Arsenal is looking like a serious contender for the Premier League title and the treble. The Gunners had an amazing pre-season, losing only to Liverpool. They also managed to beat the invincibles of last season, Bayern Leverkusen.

Arsenal have won both of their opening games of the Premier League. Moreover, the Gunners managed to take revenge on Unai Emery and Aston Villa after losing twice last season. Unai Emery cost Arsenal the Premier League title last season which was an emotional moment for the fans. Arsenal fans will be waiting for Riccardo Calafiori to make their debut for Arsenal. After signing Nketiah, Crystal Palace are also interested in Jakub Kiwior, with Arsenal deciding whether to sell the Poland defender or loan him. The Gunners will be preparing for their big match next week against Brighton who already defeated Manchester United.
