Mikel Arteta is concerned about another one of his star players, who is injured just before the Bournemouth game.
Martinelli left for International duty for Brazil but he did not play against Peru. He is a key player for Arsenal. He was spotted with a doctor before the World Cup Qualifier. Martinelli was a late substitute for Brazil when they won 2-1 against Chile. Although the the recent MRI scan on him was said to be precautionary, Martinelli is now set to be sidelined.
Martin Ødegaard has been injured for a long time now. Bukayo Saka was also seen being carried off in stretchers as well. He was injured while playing for his National Team, England, against Greece. “Bukayo would have been close but it would have been unfair to take a risk with him.” Lee Carsley said. He said that Bukayo is a positive person and is expected to be fine very soon.
Arteta expects him to come back for the match against Bournemouth. Arsenal are currently third in the table, one point away from Liverpool and on level with Manchester City.
The injury list for Arsenal just keeps on increasing. Injuries to key players can turn out to be devastating for the Gunners as they are continuing their title charge.
Bukayo Saka
The Arsenal star was very crucial for the England National team. He has been doing very well for Arsenal as well . However, he suffered a hamstring injury during the England defeat against Greece. Saka returned from the stadium and went back to London. He was under assessment for Saturday’s game. It is said that the winger is not really seriously injured. He is expected to play against Bournemouth this weekend.
Martin Ødegaard
The fears of the captain not recovering soon enough has been said by Arsenal. Martin Ødegaard has been out for a month because of his serious ankle injury. He himself has given a boost to the fans about his injury update saying that he will be back very soon. Arsenal has performed very well in the absence of the Captain. However, his absence has also been notices in a few games where Arsenal struggled a bit to win.
Thomas Partey:l
At the beginning of the season, Thomas Partey was not injured at all. He was reportedly about to offer his contract extension with the team. He was just about to start the new season with Arsenal in a impressive way. Partey was not announced in the Ghana squad for his International team. It was said that he is suffering from an illness at the moment which not really deemed to be an injury. It is doubtful if he will return to Arsenal for the Bournemouth game.
Kai Havertz
When the Gunners won against Southampton, Kai Havertz suffered an injury. He was left out from the Germany International squad. He is expected to return to the Bournemouth game because it is said that the injury is not that serious according to Arsenal. The striker has been very crucial for Arteta’s side. Partey’s and Havertz absence are in doubt but they are still expected to return against Bournemouth.
Jurrien Timber
Jurrien Timber is a high doubt to return against Bournemouth because he is not even included in the Netherlands Squad. The two seasons of 2024-2025 he has performed very well. He has missed a lot from his debut season because of his ACL injury. When he was playing against PSG, he was taken off at half time because of his injury concerns.
Takehiro Tomiyasu
He appeared against the Saints before the International break started but he was sent to the sidelines after that. Over the past few years, the defender has been suffering from serious injuries on his calf and knees. He will probably not play for Arsenal for at least another month.
