Arsenal have expressed interest in signing the talented young prospect from the Brazilian Professional Football Club Palmeiras.
Arsenal is interested in signing Palmeiras’ Wonderkid Luighi Hanro Sousa Santos, commonly referred to as Luighi.
The Premier League scouts have long sought young, talented players from South American clubs in the past.
Arsenal could add another tale in the upcoming transfer window if it successfully acquires Luighi from Palmeiras in January.
The Gunners are searching for a talented forward to add some much-needed pace to their attack in the hope of competing in the title race.
According to Footboom.com, Arsenal is very much interested in signing the Plameiras Gem at the earliest.
However, according to various reports, Southampton has also shown interest in Luighi and has made a formal offer to Palmeiras.
Arsenal’s Target Luighi’s Introduction
Luighi Santos, is an 18-years-old Brazilian Professional player, playing presently for Brazilian Side SE Palmeiras.
At International Level, he is a member of the Brazil Under-17 squad.
He joined SE Palmeiras at the age of 10 and has been regarded as a part of the club’s generation of billion-dollar talent.
His teammates, Estevao Willian, Endrick and Luis Guilherme, have been shining in their respective leagues of European Football.
He has been a new inductee in the senior Palmeira squad and has only made two appearances for the team with yet to score.
However, playing for the Under-17 side, he has made five appearances and scored 2 goals.
His contract with Palmeiras will be ending in June2028, but he has a release clause of 80 million euros in his contract.
Why Arsenal Are Interested In Him?
Arsenal urgently needs to sign a new striker in the upcoming transfer window because their current forwards are performing poorly.
The Gunners attempted to bring this young talent to the Emirates in the past, but were not successful.

Luighi is on contract with the Brazilian club till June 2028.

The club has clearly stated that it is not willing to entertain any bid from European clubs anytime soon.
Their unwillingness of letting him go makes it clear by the huge 80 million release clause attached to his contract.
They want to hold him as long as possible as their few players have already departed for other clubs.
