Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper has claimed that rumors of linking Mykhaylo Mudryk to Arsenal were laughed off by his teammates. The winger was linked with a move to the Premier League giants in the summer.

However, in the end, the Ukrainian side refused to sell their star player. Although, the rumor mill has already started for the January transfer window.

Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoly Trubin has said that his teammate Mykhaylo Mudryk is not losing his focus due to the Arsenal links. He has also said that his teammates often joke with him in the dressing room. The winger wants to play in the big leagues. Hence, he is working hard to achieve his targets. However, the winger has made it clear that he will not force a move away from the club. He also said that he is aware of the financial problems with the club.

Anatoly Trubin also added,

“I like that he is focusing on his game and the team’s game,”. “Fans don’t really see that much. No one sees what he is doing away from the football field. “All these transfer rumours affect him only in a positive way, because he enjoys what he does. And, in the team, we can tell him; ‘well, you’re already at Arsenal, let’s all go!’”

A NUMBER OF EUROPEAN CLUBS WILL BE TRYING TO TEST THE RESISTANCE OF SHAKHTAR DONETSK IN JANUARY

According to reports, Arsenal and other top European clubs are interested in signing Mykhaylo Mudryk. The report also claims that Manchester City are also in the race to sign him. However, the interested sides will have to pay top dollar to secure his signature in the January transfer window. A number of reports also suggest that Ukrainian giants will demand a fee of more than 85 million.

Hence, it will be a very difficult valuation to meet in January or the next summer transfer window. This is because Mudryk has not yet played regular football in the big league. The winger also faced a stop-start to the season to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Hence, it is looking difficult at the moment that Arsenal will pay the big bucks for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign a right-winger in January. Therefore, there is a chance that the Gunners will try to open their pockets a little bit more. Mykhaylo Mudryk is also dubbed as the third-best winger in the world. Many experts have also called him the future Ballon D’Or winner.
