According to Blackpool manager Michael Appleton, Charlie Patino is going to have a bright future at Arsenal. The 18-year-old midfielder was loaned out to Blackpool for the season. However, many fans also expected him to have some part to play for the Gunners. Although, Mikel Arteta sent him on loan to develop the physical aspects of his game.
Hence, he was sent on loan to the Championship side of Blackpool. Blackpool are currently struggling in the league. They are 21st in the league table and are in a relegation fight. However, Charlie Patino personally is having a great season. The midfielder has quickly become a fan favorite of the Blackpool fans. Therefore, Arsenal have made the right decision to loan him out to Blackpool.

There are some reports claiming that the Gunners will keep him around the first squad. Whereas, many are claiming he will go on loan to a Premier League side. Hence, his future very much depends on the decision by Mikel Arteta and Edu Garcia. The questions on his future are coming after his brilliant performance for Blackpool in the 0-0 draw against Sunderland.
Blackpool manager Michael Appleton was very happy with his performances. He said,
“He is 18 years old, he can deal with the ball in any area of the pitch, go past people left side, right side,”. “I said when he came to the club that he’s as good as anyone I’ve seen dealing with the ball and with good movement of the ball, as you’ve seen tonight, he can play as a six, as a ten, and as an eight. He’s got a really, really good future ahead of him.
Therefore, Arsenal will have to make a good decision for the youngster’s future and development. However, Arteta is known for handling the futures of on-loan youngsters well. The most recent example is the development of William Saliba into a brilliant defender.
