Arsenal monitors Camavinga for a surprise January move

Camavinga is a prodigy that has been talked about far and wide in the footballing world. However, the firepower of the Los Blancos midfield has made it difficult for the Frenchman to find his place regularly in the starting lineup. This has seemingly tempted Arsenal to pursue the prospect of signing Camavinga this January.

Camavinga to Arsenal?

It has been a busy transfer window for Arsenal. After completing the signing of Leandro Trossard, the gunners have reached a mutual verbal agreement with Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior. Now, Arsenal are also monitoring the situation of a few more players among which Eduardo Camavinga really stands out. The 20-year-old is someone who could add to the firepower of the Arsenal midfield. Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have been solid for the North London side this season. However, Partey has suffered injury woes in the past. Camavinga would not only add to the depth of the squad but also will act as a part of the future project with Xhaka aging. The Frenchman is known for his sound on-the-ball abilities and is a complete box-to-box midfielder. However, he has seen very minimal game time this season starting in only 5 league games for Real Madrid.

Title hopes?

Arsenal is one of the main contenders to challenge Man City’s unhindered dominance in the premier league. However, it’s still a long way to go for the gunners with only half the games played. Although the Arsenal lineup has been blazing on all cylinders this season, the lack of squad depth can come back to haunt them in the later half of the season. As per Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will be looking to make another signing before the window closes. Camavinga would not be a bad option to ponder for the North London side as they look to strengthen their title hopes.
