Arsenal took on Chelsea at their home, Stamford Bridge. Arsenal won 4-2 against Chelsea which ended up shocking everyone. The Gunners were on a losing streak however, they have made a comeback and are back in the race for the top 4. Here are the Arsenal player ratings vs Chelsea

Arsenal Starting XI

Aaron Ramsdale – Looked shaky and there was nothing he could do about the two Chelsea goals. Not the ideal performance required moving on to the business end.

Benjamin White – Was good on the aerial duels and challenges however had a difficult time holding the ball.

Rob Holding – Was very poor at keeping the ball however he was a different player when he had to win aerial duels and make tackles.

Gabriel – Made a commanding performance and was the standout player for Arsenal in defense.

Nuno Tavares – Was extremely good at taking the ball forward however defensively not his best performance.

Mohamed Elneny – Didn’t play for 4 months, came back into the team, spearheaded the midfield, and left.

Granit Xhaka – Xhaka has been the scapegoat for Arsenal since Mesut Ozil left the club however proved his worth in this game. Had a sloppy first half however made a decent comeback in the second.

Martin Odegaard Odegaard steps up for Arsenal whenever Arsenal needs him to and he did not disappoint. He carried the ball forward and made a couple of good chances.

Bukayo Saka – Looked out of position and uncomfortable early in the game. However, he quickly found his feet and buried a penalty from the spot.

Eddie NketiahNketiah was receiving criticism for his performances and his commitment was being questioned. However, he shut his critics by scoring a brace.

Emile Smith Rowe – Buried his goal with a proper finish and almost had another one if it weren’t for the Chelsea defense.

Gabriel Martinelli – Kept on running and was the engine for Arsenal since he came on.

Cedric Soares – Had an opportunity to score and further their lead however was unable to bury it past the keeper
