Arsenal prefer Viktor Gyökeres over Alexander Isak

Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak are on the radar for Arsenal this summer.

Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak are both linked to the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are searching for a striker from a long time. They are likely to finish second again in the Premier League. For a third season in a row, they’ll end being the runners-up. One of their main issues have been a quality attacker.

Number of players have been linked with the Gunners this summer. Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, to name a few. With the arrival of new sporting director Andrea Berta, they’ll look to make some key signings.

As per multiple reports, Arsenal are very keen on Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting Lisbon forward is in an outstanding form in Primeira Liga this campaign.

Andrea Berta’s announcement was made on Sunday. He is also said to have a high interest in the Sweden international. And he is expected to bring the finisher at the Emirates very soon.

Newcastle United’s Isak is also being linked with the north London side. He has been in a great run for the Magpies since the start of this campaign.

Mikel Arteta is also a big fan of the player. Although, Eddie Howe’s team are not open to any offers for their star.

How’s better between the two Sweden internationals?

Isak has been performing at the highest level in England. However, Sofascore stats shows that the Sporting forward has a upper hand.

Viktor has scored 42 goals in 42 games this term across all competitions. While the Toon attacker has only netted 19 times this campaign in nine less games. He also doesn’t play in the European competitions, but his scoring pace is slower anyways.

Gyokeres scores in every 80 minutes, while Isak needs 113 minutes to find the back of the net. The Sporting player will be new to the Premier League if his move happens. His numbers show his quality and talent. He has scored 85 goals in 92 games for the Portuguese side since 2023.

Arsenal will have a chance to sign him this summer window. It would be interesting to see if they can pull this move off.
