Arsenal are eyeing to make some spectacular signings in the summer transfer window. Although the Gunners haven’t been as active as they were last summer. Furthermore, Arteta’s side would miss out on the Premier League title on the last day. Consequently, Manchester City would win the record breaking 4th league title in a row. According to football.london, Arsenal would splurge over £250 million in the previous summer. Arsenal have a young and exciting team with plenty of potential. However, they have failed to clinch major silverware so far.
The Gunners have been unable to capitalize in key moments. Moreover, they would often falter due to lack of finishing touch in front of goal. Although Kai Havertz would find some form in front of goal. However, his consistency on finding the back of the net is rather questionable. Arsenal do have a proper striker in the form of Gabriel Jesus. However, injuries have sidelined the Brazilian more often than not. Arsenal will be hoping to fight for the title again this season. The Gunners would be keen to reinforce their roster. Consequently, Arsenal may finally be making some big moves in the transfer window.
Arsenal to have a busy transfer window?
Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be willing to be good all over the pitch in the upcoming campaign. Pertaining to their goalscoring requirements, Viktor Gyokeres is a top target for the Gunners. The 26-year-old Swedish international was a key player under Ruben Amorim and Sporting. Gyokeres’ goalscoring prowess would propel Sporting to Liga Portugal title triumph. As per trasnsfermarket.co.in, Gyokeres would secure a stellar 58 G/A in 50 appearances for Sporting!
The 26-year-old could be a great addition at the Emirates. Although a concrete deal is yet to materialize, Gyokeres could very well be on his way to London.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also pushing in for signing Ricardo Calafiori from Bologna. The 22-year old Italian international was exceptional with Bologna last season. Additionally, he would help Thiago Motta’s side to a Champions League place for the upcoming season.
Moreover, Calafiori would sustain his impressive run of form by producing at the EUROs. As of now, the 22-year old has portrayed glimpses of immense potential. Arsenal fans would love to see Calafiori starting alongside William Saliba at the back. The two would be very difficult to get past.
Plenty of players on their way out of the Emirates?
The Gunners will also be looking to raise funds for their purchase plans. Especially, considering FFP and PSR regulations. Players like Aaron Ramsdale, Jakub Kiwior, Nuno Tavares, Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah could be leaving Arsenal.
The Gunners will benefit a lot from these outgoing transfers. Given, they sell them reasonably. Nonetheless, Arsenal are looking to make a statement by finishing the transfer window strongly.
