Arsenal reject Al-Ittihad’s offer for their star forward

Saudi Pro League clubs were pushing hard to sign some of the best European talents in this summer transfer window. Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku, and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, were both targeted by Saudi clubs during this transfer window. However, neither Osimhen nor Lukaku joined any Saudi clubs this summer.

Now, Saudi side, Al-Ittihad are interested in signing Arsenal winger, Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal rejected Al-Ittihad’s offer for Leandro Trossard

Al-Ittihad have expressed their interest to Arsenal about Leandro Trossard. The Saudi club wanted to sign the Belgian international on loan now with an obligation to make the deal permanent in the future for a transfer fee of £25m. But Arsenal rejected the offer immediately as the Gunners believed that he was a crucial part of the team.

Leandro Tsossard played all three matches for Arsenal in this new Premier League season but started only once. The Belgian international also scored for the Gunners in the match against Aston Villa, where Arsenal secured a 2-0 win away from home. Trossard made 34 appearances last season and in 18 of them, he started for Arsenal. The 29-year-old scored 12 goals and added one assists last season in his 34 appearances in the Premier League. Arteta used him as a super-sub and it worked really well. This season Arsenal’s boss wants to use Leandro Trossard same as the last season.

Leandro Trossard joined Arsenal in 2022 from Premier League side, Brighton. The Belgian international gradually became an integral part of the Arsenal squad. However, Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, preferred him as a substitute player more than a regular starter.

Till now Trossard made 71 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners and scored 19 goals. So, Arsenal believed that his contribution to the team was very crucial, and that’s why the Gunners don’t want to sell Leandro Trossard at this moment.

Will Raheem Sterling’s move create problems for Leandro Trossard?

Former Manchester City and Liverpool winger, Raheem Sterling joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea just before the closure of the transfer window. Chelsea wanted to sell all of their aged players as the club wanted to focus more on young talents. And Sterling was someone who was on that list. Finally, the Blues were able to find out a solution for Sterling.

Sterling’s move to Arsenal opens the question about the future of Leandro Trossard. Both Leandro Trossard and Sterling play mainly in the left-wing position. So, lots of rumors are going on about Leandro Trosard and his departure from Arsenal. That’s why Al-Ittihad showed their interest in Leandro Trossard and wanted to get him on loan.
