Arsenal are enjoying life right now as they have a chance to reach the summit of the Premier league table this weekend. The international break has ended, and the big games are back.
The Gunners’ have shown their winning mentality in their previous games. The team is looking very promising and they believe in themselves. It is felt that this might finally be the year when they end their much awaited hunger for this trophy.
The Gunners’ have built a defense which is by far one of the most formidable backlines in Europe. Also, with so many players out injured grinding out results against Manchester City and PSG is not a joke.
However, Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has said that Arsenal might start their dominance in the league, if Pep Guardiola leaves the Citizens soon. He feels that this will be the final nail in Man City’s coffin. He has urged England to get Guardiola as their manager.
City look formidable but behind the scenes the club is shaking from fear. The judgement day is coming near and if they’re punished it would be ugly for the City fans. Arsenal and Liverpool would be the most relieved clubs if the blue side from Manchester gets relegated.
Neymar to Arsenal: Who says no?
Former PSG and FC Barcelona star Neymar’s contract ends next summer. The 32-year old has expressed his desire for a move to the Premier league previously. We could potentially see him join this Mikel Arteta super team and recreate his legacy at the Emirates.
He attended the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in Riyadh. Neymar now plays for Al-Hilal after completing a big money move. In the stands, he was sitting beside boxing promoter Frank Warren.
Warren who is an Arsenal fan asked him that he could finally move to the Emirates next summer. He urged Neymar to be serious about this move and added that he’s the missing piece to Mikel Arteta’s puzzle.
Neymar laughed and added he’s back from injury. This could mean something for the Gunners’?
Warren says;
“This is the man, he’s coming to England,” said Warren in front of cameras. He’s going to play for Arsenal.”
Neymar recently returned to training as he is recovering from his anterior cruciate ligament injury. His tenure at the Saudi club is traumatising as he’s managed to play only five games since joining the club.
Neymar has previously admitted an interest in Premier league and confessed that Arsenal would be the go-to destination in England.
Japanese star will miss the Bournemouth clash
Takehiro Tomiyasu will face another spell on the sidelines against Bournemouth. The full-back missed action so far this season after suffering an injury in the pre season.
TEAMtalk reveals that he could potentially miss out against the Cherries as well. Tomiyasu was also left out from the Japan squad in the international break.
As per reports, Tomiyasu suffered a recurrence of his knee problem in his short appearance against Southampton and he could now be out of action for another month. This is a fresh headache for Mikel Arteta.
Partey was forced to play as a right back as Timber and White were also sidelined last game. Tomiyasu was one of the most important defenders of Arsenal but injuries have pegged him back.
Reports in Italy have previously stated that Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan will swoop in for him if he is available in the market. If the Japanese international isn’t available to play for long periods, he will be put up for sale. If a player isn’t available for most of the big games, it makes no point retaining them. It is up to the manager and the club doctors to decide now regarding the extent of this injury.
