Torino sporting director Davide Vagnati is flying to London for talks over the sale of Gleison Bremer with Arsenal among the clubs interested.

According to a report from 90 mins, the Torino director is flying over to London for holding talks with various clubs, mainly Arsenal, about Gleison Bremer. Bremer plays as a center-back for the Italian club Torino.

Bremer joined Torino from Brazilian team Atletico Mineiro in the summer of 2018. He has developed into one of the best center-backs in Italian football in the past four years with Torino

He has had a string of impressive displays of his defending prowess the last season. The 25-year-old won Serie A’s Best Defender Award for the 2021/22 season. And his amazing performances have made him a player whose signature is being sought after by many clubs.

Torino are now hoping to cash in on Bremer when his value is so high. 90min claims that Davide Vagnati is flying to London to hold talks with potential suitors. Arsenal are among the many clubs that have shown an interest in signing the central defender. Vagnati is in London to talk to Arsenal and to see whether they’ll be putting forward a bid for Bremer.

Arsenal are in the market for a new defender. The Gunners have expressed their interest to sign Ajax star defender Lisandro Martinez. However, they are going to face stiff competition from Manchester Untied for this signature.

Competition over the defender

Martinez is more likely to end up at Old Trafford to link up with former coach Erik ten Hag. This means Arsenal needs to have a backup or an alternative target and maybe that is why they are lining up Bremer as a full back option.

However, Arsenal are not the only club chasing the signature of Bremer. Tottenham and Chelsea are also in the market for a defender. Bremer is also on the two clubs’ radar. Arsenal will face stiff competition for this signing too.
