Arsenal Transfer News and Updates

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have been linked with moves away from Arsenal. As Josh Kroenke faces a £200million-plus decision. The summer for many of their fans is all about adding to the squad and improving the first eleven.

There is an increasing feeling that the north London side will want to spend big. That’s because of a quiet summer market in 2024. The finance reports are good. While the club made a loss, the revenues were great.

A return to the Champions League and competing for the title, they are in a strong position. The only problem with having these strong results via top players is that clubs want them.

The Gunners are sitting on what is probably the worlds best centre back pairing in William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. However both players were the subject of links away from the club in recent weeks.

Football London understands the London side remains calm on both players’ contract situations. As for both players, their deals will expire in 2027. The France international stated he was happy at the club and wants to stay. However, he did confirm that no talks had started as of yet.

Nico Williams transfer update

Nico Williams has given Mikel Arteta a reminder of just why he has wanted him to join Arsenal. The Athletic Bilbao winger was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium last summer.

He had impressive Euros 2024, but the move did not happen for a host of reasons.

Firstly, his big salary was a sticking point. And it would likely make him the Gunners highest paid player alongside Declan Rice.

Secondly, despite being very keen from English clubs and Barcelona, he opted to remain at Bilbao for another season, alongside brother Inaki.
