The Gunners will be making the most of the summer window this time. They are looking to bring in some quality players in the squad. They are expected to sign some of the big names in Europe. And they’ll be aiming to create a strong team for the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal are eyeing a move for Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. The new sporting director Andrea Berta has been speaking to Williams’ agents for a potential move in the summer.

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the winger for the past two years. And tried their luck to land him last year as well. But, he opted to remain in Bilbao for an additional year.

According to Spanish outlets, Martin Zubimendi is also nearing a move to north London. They are reportedly confident about acquiring the midfielder. Mikel Arteta’s lengthy pursuit for Zubimendi will come to an end following the signing.

Last summer, the Gunners manager acquired Merino from Sociedad. The Sociedad player may join Merino at Emirates Stadium for the 2025–2026 season.

In addition, as per multiple reports, Mikel Arteta is very keen on Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting Lisbon forward is in an great form in Primeira Liga this campaign. He could also be heading away from Portugal in June.

Arsenal were in line to win number of trophies this campaign. However, the failure to bring in any striker and injury crisis has majorly affected their run this season.

The north London club kept faith in their then available forward options. Although, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz have missed a lot of key games for Mikel Arteta’s side due to injury. Bukayo Saka was also out for three to four months before making his return recently.

Their injury crisis has surely impacted their run for the title. They are currently 11 points behind the league leaders Liverpool, after drawing 1-1 against Everton on Saturday. The Reds also lost on the weekend to Fulham. But, they still have a big lead in the points table.

This week they’ll play Real Madrid in UCL last-eight fixture.
