Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk’s potential transfer fee shocks Adebayo Akinfenwa

Mykhailo Mudryk

Football pundit and former footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa has expressed his shock over the fee demanded for Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk. He has also said that the 100 million demanded fee is too high.

Hence, Shakhtar Donetsk should reduce their demands to sell their star winger. The winger has also made it clear that he wants to leave the club in the January transfer window.

According to reports, Arsenal are struggling to agree on a transfer fee for Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the winger is putting pressure on Shakhtar to agree on a fee. However, they are not decreasing their demands for the transfer fee. They are still asking for 100 million. The only positive is the Gunners have already agreed on personal terms with Mykhaylo Mudryk. Hence, the Premier League giants are ready with the other formalities.

Former footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa has also said that no side including Arsenal will pay 100 million for Mykhaylo Mudryk. He further said,

“I have debated this many times that the market is inflated, so £100 million nowadays is not £100 million, if you understand what I am saying.

“There has to be some sort of sense, to try and ease with this. All of a sudden, you are just going to start throwing around £200-250 million on players. €100 million (£88m)? That’s to start (on Arsenal paying that fee for Mudryk to start, not be a squad player).”

CHELSEA ARE ALSO MONITORING THE SITUATION

According to reports, Chelsea are also monitoring the situation of Mykhaylo Mudryk. The report also claims that his agent will attend the game of Chelsea against Manchester City. However, that does not mean that there is no chance for Arsenal. The report also claims that Arsenal remains his first priority. Therefore, Chelsea will only make move if the Gunners move collapses. A number of reports also claims that Chelsea are willing to pay more transfer fee than the Gunners.

However, like Arsenal, they are not ready to pay 100 million. Therefore, it is clear that Shakhtar Donetsk will have to reduce their demands to sell Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window. At the moment, it looks like Shakhtar are also giving their last effort to keep Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the winger is also going to miss the Turkey training camp in a few days. Hence, it is clear that Mudryk is okay with getting fined.

Hence, Arsenal will have to make sure that they secure the signature of Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window. This is because Chelsea are very quick with hijacking and completing the deals. Therefore, the priority for the Gunners is to agree on a fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for their star winger.
