Arsenal wonderkid can break Henry’s record

Nowadays, Bukayo Saka is seen as one of the most talented youngsters from Arsenal. In the last five consecutive Premier League games, he provided five assists. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was the one who made this record in the English Premier League. According to JustArsenal, the young English winger achieved this record in the Manchester City game.

There is another Arsenal player who has the most number of assists in consecutive matches. It is none other than German midfield maestro Mesut Ozil. It seems that Bukayo Saka can break the record of Thierry Henry in the upcoming match. Although the gunners have faced some difficult fixtures, they are flying. On top of that, both Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard will be available for the next match.

In the last Premier League match against Manchester City, Michael Oliver gave a red card to Leandro Trossard. So, he was suspended for a single match. After that game, Arsenal played Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup match. In that match, the ban got lifted.

This time, it will be easy for Saka to provide more assists to Trossard because the Belgian winger is an expert in scoring goals. He has proven that again and again.

Bukayo Saka: the next Arsenal superstar

When Arteta became the manager of Arsenal, he revealed Bukayo Saka to the entire world. At that time, everyone thought that the youngster would not last longer in this Arsenal team. We have seen some youngsters who have faded away along with time. The list includes Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, Emanuel Frimpong, and many more.

Few of them were able to make a permanent place in the Arsenal team. Bukayo Saka was one of them. He was completely focused on his goal. After a few seasons, he was included in the England national team. He represented the Three Lions in Euros.

In Euro 2020, England qualified for the final and faced Italy. At first, England led Italy with Luke Shaw’s goal. Then the Italian defender Bonucci equalized the score line.

In the extra time, the score line remained 1-1. So, the match was dragged on to the tiebreaker. Bukayo Saka missed a penalty, which proved to be decisive in England’s defeat.

After that penalty miss, Bukayo Saka faced multiple criticisms and inappropriate comments from the England fans. Four years later, in Euro 2024, he got that same chance, but this penalty was in the tiebreaker of a quarterfinal. This time Bukayo Saka scored the penalty for England and helped them progress through the quarterfinals.

Although England lost in the final against Spain, Saka was able to lift up his scar with the penalty. It gave him huge confidence.

Redemption for Saka

Few players get the chance to retrieve their careers. When a player misses an important penalty for his country, it remains as a scar for the player. In Euro 2024, Bukayo Saka got a chance of redemption. He welcomed the opportunity with both hands and scored the penalty for England.

So, everyone was cheering him. At that moment, Bukayo Saka smiled back in joy. And now he is on the verge of breaking a record. If he can provide more assists in the upcoming matches, all the Arsenal fans will be cheering him on. For a footballer, the fans are very important because they can motivate a player with their chants.

If all the Arsenal players can play like Saka, they can achieve something big this season.
