Though he was left heartbroken after he missed a Penalty kick against Italy in Euro 2020 final. ‘I loved Alexis Sanchez’: Saka

Ahead of the clash against USA, Saka talks about his time growing up as an Arsenal fan. He chose a few players he liked to watch.

He told England Football:

“I used to love the older generation players like Thierry Henry. I loved Thierry.

“And because I was at Arsenal, I used to be able to go to games and at that time I loved Alexis Sanchez. He was one of my favourite players.”

Sanchez joined Arsenal from Barcelona and cost £35 million which seemed to have turned out a good bargain. In his 166 appearances for the Gunners, he scored 80 goals and provided 45 assists.

Sanchez was the kind of player who was keen to get involved in the play, this is what current Arsenal does right now.

Sanchez joined Manchester United from Arsenal in which he wasn’t good enough. The Chile international is now at Olympique de Marseille.
