According to The Sun, Omar Hutchinson has started training with the Arsenal first team as he could feature for Mikel Arteta against Brentford. The youngster could make his senior team debut against Brentford as Arteta looks at his academy once again. Moreover, Gabriel Martinelli is suspended for the fixture as he got a red card in quick succession against Wolves.
Mikel Arteta indeed has always been a supporter of his youth academy. He has always given chances to youth prospects and has improved them into very important players for the club. Arteta has already helped Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe with their game time. They now start games for Arsenal on a regular basis.
Omari Hutchinson just turned 18 in October and has been on the Arsenal team on several occasions. However, he is yet to make an appearance for the senior team but there is a good chance that he might be featuring against Brentford. He could get more game time if he impresses the manager with the time he gets at Brentford.
Hutchinson ran into the Brazilian legend Pele at a tournament hosted by Pele himself. Furthermore, Pele praised Omari’s skills the F2 freestyles who were present there made a video that went viral with Omari Hutchinson. He has already received praise from greats but he is yet to prove his worth on the center stage which he is very much capable of.
How Omari Hutchinson can become a regular player under Mikel Arteta?
There’s no denying that Hutchinson is a talented youngster with a bag of skills. He has scored five goals and set up another 5 for his teammates in 13 Premier League-2 appearances. He helped Arsenal come back from a 3 goal deficit against Leicester’s U-23s by scoring one and assisting the other two and snatching a draw.
Omari Hutchinson has been knocking on the door of Mikel Arteta for playing the youngster. The wait might be over now and Arteta could hand him the debut for his hard work with the U-23s. Hutchinson can shock the Brentford defenders with his skills as Brentford may not have a clear idea of the 18-year-old’s playing style.
Hutchinson has already shown his maturity in his game and if he is able to do that against Brentford, he is sure to get more chances in the first team. Odegaard will not always be available to play as the attacking midfielder and that is where Hutchinson could step up. He might even create an interest in other clubs to buy him and enjoy his services for many years to come.
Mikel Arteta has never been short of confidence while playing youngsters. Arteta could do the same with Hutchinson as he has done for Saka, Smith-Rowe, and Martinelli. However, that also lies on Hutchinson whether to grab these opportunities with both his hands. Saka’s future at the club is also being speculated and if a move takes place, Hutchinson could be the one to replace him.
