India’s former pacer Ashish Nehra feels that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will not be able to secure a place in the T20 World Cup squad.
Although the series ended in a 2-2 tie, Bhuvneshwar Kumar received the Player of the Series award for his performance.
But Nehra feels that Bhuvneshwar Kumar has not yet made it to the Indian team’s ICC T20 World Cup squad.
He also commented that Bhuvi needs to work more on his fitness in this phase of his career.
Nehra also opined that Bhuvi will feel a lot of pressure from the other pacers in the team
In the Indian squad, there will be at most four pacers along with Hardik Pandya.
Thus, Nehra felt that Bhuvi will not be able to clinch a spot in the T20 World Cup team.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar led the Indian pace attack and took a wicket in the first and third T20I.
Nehra then went on to say that Bhuvneshwar has been bowling pretty well and did well in this year’s IPL as well.
Bhuvneshwar also surpassed Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma in securing the most Player of the Series awards after the South Africa series.
