Atalanta’s Ederson is on Manchester United’s radar

Atalanta star Ederson has got attention from Man Utd as they look to sign a midfielder this summer.

Ederson to Old Trafford in June?

Manchester United are planning for a summer move for Atalanta star Ederson, as per GIVEMESPORT. Head coach Ruben Amorim wants more options in the middle of the pitch for the next campaign. The manager will be looking forward to take charge of his first full season with the Red Devils.

The Portuguese manager wants to add some competition for Manuel Ugarte in the midfield. Ugarte arrived at the Old Trafford in August, 2024. He signed a five-year deal including an option to extend it for another year. He left Paris Saint-Germain for a fee around £50.5 million last year.

The Red Devils are currently sitting at 13th place in the Premier League points table. They are way too far from the top five in the league table.

Marcus Rashford is on the verge of an exit in this summer window. His market value is currently around £40 million. He is on loan to Aston Villa for this campaign. Villa have an option to buy him on a permanent basis as well. That deal would surely help Utd in their transfer budget for this summer.

Atalanta star could be a good fit for Amorim’s side

Man Utd are interested in bringing in the Brazil international to England in June. Amorim is also looking to add more strength into his midfield.

Kobbie Mainoo is also an option but his future at the club is uncertain at the moment.

The Brazilian midfielder will be available in the market with a asking price of around £52 million. However, the Italian outfit want him to stay for couple of more years. He has been impressive for the Serie A side.

United are still alive in the UEFA Europa League this campaign. They will surely go all in for their transfer target, if they win the competition this year.
