Aurelien Tchouameni revealed the interest other clubs had in him before he made his decision to sign for Champions League winners Real Madrid.
The Monaco star is hot property at the moment and was wanted by a number of clubs. However, it was the Los Blancos who secured the signing of the mercurial French international.
Kylian Mbappe, whom himself had a long saga with Madrid tried to lure his teammate to Paris. But Tchouameni insisted on Madrid.

Liverpool were another club who were interested in Tchouameni. The Reds are looking for bolstering their midfield options. They need a marquee name in the centre of the pitch as Thiago Alcantara and Naby Kieta have shown their unreliability in terms of fitness in recent times. The signing of Tchouameni would have been perfect in that regard. He is young, mightily talented, and could have nailed down a starting spot for years to come.
But alas, it was not to be for the Reds.
They will rue the loss of Tchouameni for sure, but they will hope that they can get someone else there. They recently paid a big fee for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez and will hope that he can take their team to the next level.
