Bad news for all Liverpool fans as their star goalkeeper, Alisson, is out for at least one month due to his recent hamstring injury. The Brazilian is expected to miss all the fixtures for Liverpool until mid-November because of this injury. Alisson is still the first-choice goalkeeper for Liverpool under the new manager, Arne Slot, despite his age and Jurgen Klopp’s departure. But for now at least one month the Reds have to rely on other options for the goalkeeper position.
Alisson Becker of Liverpool is out for at least one month
Alisson already made eight appearances in this season for Liverpool across all competitions. In the Premier League, the Brazilian made six appearances in the league conceded only two goals, and kept three clean sheets. During Liverpool’s match against Crystal Palace Allison took the injury and was replaced by Vitezslav Jaros after 79 minutes. Liverpool managed to win the match with a narrow margin of 1-0. So, for now, Liverpool have to rely on other options for the goalkeeper position.
Liverpool have two options for the goalkeeper position- Caoimhin Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros. Vitezslav Jaros made his Liverpool debut against Crystal Palace after coming in the 79th minute to replace the injured Alisson Becker. The 23-year-old has been on loan to different clubs in the past three or four seasons. But this season, Liverpool kept him in the squad this season rather than sending him on loan once again.
Who will Alisson replace Becker in Liverpool?
But it is expected that Liverpool boss Arne Slot will use Caoimhin Kelleher for the replacement of Alisson. The new Liverpool boss also said that Kellehar would be the start for the next match for Liverpool and will be used till the comeback of Alisson. Kelleher made 26 appearances in the last season across all competitions in the absence of Alisson Becker. The 25-year-old stepped up for the Reds in the last season whenever it was required for Liverpool. Kelleher missed the Crystal Palace game due to illness and that’s why Vitezslav Jaros was able to make his Liverpool debut. But it is expected that Kellehar will start for the Reds in place of Alisson.
Liverpool also signed a goalkeeper in the summer transfer, Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia. However, the Georgian international will join the Reds next summer from the Spanish side. So, Liverpool have a future plan set up for the goalkeeper position.

The Reds only conceded two goals in the first seven matches in the league this season and kept five clean sheets in this process. Alisson was the main man in front of the goal for all these matches. The Brazilian international continuously provided his best form in front of the goal with the help of Liverpool’s brilliant defense line.
