Estêvão chose Chelsea amidst rumours of Bayern Munich who wants to sign him.
How good is Estêvão?
Chelsea are looking forward to sign Estêvão from Palmeiras. Bayern Munich were looking forward to signing him as well. However, the Brazilian winger chose the Blues instead. Chelsea are looking forward to sign the winger by January. The Brazilian player is really good. The winger have scored 12 goals for Palmeiras in 27 matches. He also provided many assists. Brazilian have that talent in their blood to play football. Chelsea are looking forward to sign those players that is why. The Blues already have signed a lot of players already in the summer. They have signed 32 players. Among these players, a lot turned out to be mediocre. Todd Boehly, being an American, it is expected from him that he has signed so many player without knowing about how they are and their positions a well.
Do Chelsea really need Estêvão?
In get that Chelsea are on the rise at the moment and have been signing a lot of players as well. However, at the same time, Chelsea should be focussing on signing lesser players right now. There are a lot of problems Chelsea might face after the signing of too many players. Chelsea have been out there signing so many players in a single season. However, they failed to make them start or appear in a lot of matches. A very good example has to be Mudryk.
The Ukrainian International have been on the bench for too long. He is probably the second most expensive player in the Premier League and for Chelsea as well. Mudryk have been playing bad as well. He have been very mediocre player for Chelsea. The Ukrainian International was offered several chances but then still he went on to play very bad. Enzo Maresca thought about selling him as well. Mykhailo Mudryk himself wanted to leave Chelsea accodring to reports because of his less game time in the matches. These are the problems a lot of Chelsea players have been facing after the signing.
However, they found out the good players and Enzo Maresca made a lot of tactical changes to the team to make sure that everyone gets play time. However, a lot of players still remain who cannot join the starting lineup. Robert Sanchez have become a problem for Chelsea as well due to his bad performances. The Blues have improved a lot but it is time for them to lose a lot of players who are not necessary as well. Caicedo was thought to be a bad signing or a mediocre signing a by a lot of fans last season. However, under the right manager, he is playing really very well. Caicedo have been one of the best players in the Premier League right now as well as for The Blues. Chelsea fans really love him now because of how he plays.
Will Estêvão perform well in Chelsea?
It is a 50/50 chance in my opinion. Chelsea should have think a lot before signing him. They already have a lot of GOOD players in that position already. Again, at this point, the same problem comes into play for Chelsea about whom to bench and whom to start. Estêvão is a very good talent from Palmeiras and wants to join Chelsea. However, they need to nurture him and make him into a fully built player to make him play well. Chelsea should be careful with him so that his talent does not go to waste and he actually plays very well to develop himself as well as help Chelsea win even more. As of now, Bayern is not in such a dire need of a winger in their team or talents either. This is why it won’t be that much of a problem if Chelsea signs him.
