Boehly-Eghbali ‘civil war’ can end in 60 days

After a round of negotiations, it is being said that Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are considering a way to sort things out with each other. According to The Chelsea Chronicle, both sides want to buy each other’s shares.

This is possibly the best way for resolving things with each other. According to multiple reports, it is being said that this procedure might take up to 60 days. The owners also want to resolve things quickly with each other, but this is a long-term procedure. So, it will take some time.

Recently, both sides clashed with each other in the meeting room. The main focal point of the meeting was new Arsenal player, Raheem Sterling. It is being said that one side didn’t want to send Sterling out on loan. But the other side wanted the opposite.

What happened between Boehly and Eghbali?

The disparity of share between the two sides is the main reason for their beef up. Things became worse when Boehly wanted to acquire the complete shares at Chelsea. Clearlake Capital and Behdad Eghbali were not willing to sell their shares.

At this moment, several media outlets are claiming a different story. According to them, Clearlake Capital is thinking about selling their shares to Todd Boehly.

In a recent meeting between the two sides, it was being said that Clearlake Capital is completely focusing on player trade and business. They are not thinking about the club. If this is the truth, Todd Boehly will be a better owner than Clearlake Capital.

Previously, we saw some bizarre transfer activities from Chelsea. The Chelsea fans were blaming Todd Boehly for these activities. Now we are getting a hint of the real entity who was behind all of these things. Behdad Eghbali and Clearlake Capital were pulling strings from the shadows.

Future of Chelsea

Yesterday, Chelsea beat Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium by 1-0 score line. The Blues bagged all 3 points from this match, boosting their top four aspirations.

In his recent press conference, reporters asked Enzo Maresca about the ownership situation, and the Italian replied that these things are “not a part of his job”. The manager stated that his job is to prepare the team for the upcoming matches. If he spends his energy on other things, he cannot focus on his own job. In each and every press conference, Maresca never fails to impress us with his bold and straight-forward answers.

At this point, the Blues are in a transition period. The owners need to focus on improving the club even more. During the takeover, Chelsea have gone through a massive dilemma. At that time, Russian owner Roman Abramovich, was forced to sell the club due to the Russia-Ukraine war. When these things happen behind the scenes, it affects the players and the fans a lot. These things create uncertainty about the future of the club.

This issue has to be resolved as soon as possible. After a long period, Chelsea fans are seeing some glimpse of redemption. With yesterday’s 1-0 win, all the players will try to maintain this momentum throughout the entire season. If the players can do it, their top four aspirations might be possible.

If the ownership issue lingers for a long time, it will send a wrong message to the fans and the players. Recently, the Blues Co. appointed former Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca. Last season, the Italian helped the Foxes lift the championship title and promote back in the Premier League. Since coming to Chelsea, the Italian manager has aimed to bring a winning mentality, along with a distinct identity.
