Dortmund manager impressed with Chelsea’s new signing Felix

Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic is highly impressed with Chelsea’s new signing João Felix after his performance in the Champions League at Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund won the match 1:0 against Chelsea in the round of 16 clash on Wednesday. This will give them a slight advantage in the away-leg fixture at Stanford Bridge. Karim Adeyemi scored the only goal of the match.

Despite Chelsea’s defeat, they have shown signs of good form for the first time in Graham Potter’s reign. But the only thing they have found difficult is scoring goals. Someone needs to convert the half-chances they create.

FELIX IMPRESSES IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Dortmund manager Edin Terzic was highly impressed with Chelsea’s performance despite their defeat on Wednesday.

João Felix caught the opposition manager’s eye as the attacker was in great form and defenders were finding it difficult to mark him.

As quoted by Borrusia Dortmund’s official website, Terzic told DAZN:-

“We’ll do whatever it takes, and we won’t feel apologetic for beating Chelsea at home in the last 16. They have unbelievable quality up front. It was really impressive how Joao Felix operated between the lines and his teammates were always able to thread passes to him. But we know one thing for sure: whenever the going gets tough, we can count on Gregor Kobel. There were a few times, particularly in the first half, that we managed to play our way through them. So there are a lot of good things to take from tonight, and best of all is the win.”

There is no doubt that Felix was delighted to watch again as he has already shown good signs of form. The 23-year-old looks suited in the Blues system as a No.10. He is partnering with Kai Havertz in the attacking line.

West Ham striker Micheal Antonio has compared the Portuguese to former Chelsea player Eden Hazard after playing him last weekend.
