Bruno Fernandes breaks another Premier League record

Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes broke yet another Premier League record with his assist for Anthony Martial’s strike against Everton on Saturday.

With 43 minutes remaining in the Premier League match at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes punted the ball on a plate for Martial to hammer home the opener. His first Premier League assist of the new season. The tie ended in heartbreak for the Red Devils. As they were held to a draw by an equalizer from Andros Townsend.

He becomes the fastest midfielder in the competition’s history to hit that milestone. Overall, he becomes the fourth-fastest player to reach the milestone. Only Andy Cole (43), Eric Cantona (54) and Alan Shearer (54) have reached 50 combined goals and assist in fewer Premier League matches.

The ex-Sporting Lisbon man now boasts a total of 44 goals and 28 assists from 90 games in a Man United shirt. This includes seven contributions from 10 games in all competitions this term.

Bruno Fernandes has never failed to step up for Manchester United.  Undoubtedly he is the backbone of the team and despite being a midfielder, he boosted his ability by becoming the club’s top scorer last season and competing for the golden boot alongside fearsome strikers in the process.

He joined the club in the winter transfer during the 2019/20 season. The midfielder became an instant hit as he went on to win back to back Premier League player of the month awards.
