Bruno Fernandes promises to deliver for Manchester United in the FA Cup final!

Bruno Fernandes has promised to deliver for Manchester United in the FA Cup final as he pledges loyalty to The Red Devils. Manchester United will be facing bitter rivals Manchester City in a Manchester derby at Wembley for the FA Cup final.

United will have a shot at revenge after losing out to city in last year’s cup tie. Bruno Fernandes has made a vow to the fans to deliver his best against City in the cup final.

United and City: The Two sides of Manchester!

Manchester United failed to find their groove ever since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. Meanwhile, Manchester City have found the form of their life. City have won the last 6 Premier League titles out of 7! Whereas, United haven’t lifted the Premier League trophy since 2013!

Pep Guardiola’s City also became the first side in Premier League history to win the coveted trophy in 4 consecutive years. City also won their first Champions League title last season and matched United’s historic feat of winning a continental treble!

While City have finished at the summit again, United finished 8th in the points table. This is the Red Devils’ worst finish in Premier League history. United’s defense was shattered this season as they ended the league season with a goal difference of -1 and conceded a mammoth 84 goals this season in all competitions!

Moreover, Manchester United have failed to qualify for any of European Club competitions. Furthermore, their only hope of qualification is winning the FA Cup final against their local rivals. Winning will ensure a Europa League place for The Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes will give his all for Manchester United!

Winning against Manchester City will be a colossal task for The Red Devils. However, Bruno Fernandes has urged his teammates to give their 100% to make it possible.

The United captain was linked with a move away from The Theatre of Dreams. Nevertheless, Fernandes has pledged loyalty to The Red Devils.

The Portuguese said:

“After this difficult season, it is my responsibility to give more.

It starts with me. And it starts tomorrow. We have to give everything in this last match against City, and we have to move forward. I love to step out at Old Trafford more than anything in the world. I don’t want to leave. This has always been my ultimate dream.

I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club. If you go talk to any fan, they will tell you the same thing. We want to compete for the league. We want to be playing Champions League football. We want to be in cup finals. That is the standard. That is what I want. That is what you all deserve.”

How crucial is Bruno Fernandes for United?

Bruno Fernandes has made 159 appearances for United in the Premier League. The Portuguese managed 95 G/A in the league whilst scoring 54 goals.

In an injury ridden Manchester United squad, Fernandes has been quite consistent and his fitness levels are impressive. The Portuguese is the 3rd highest appearance maker for The Red Devils this season with 47 appearances.

Fernandes is also the 2nd highest goal scorer for United this season with 15 goals. He is just 1 shy of Rasmus Hojlund. Also, Bruno has the most, 27 G/A, for The Red Devils in this campaign. Needless to say, Fernandes will play a vital role in the cup final.

FA Cup Final: Finally, Manchester United’s time to shine?

Erik Ten Hag and United will be keen to secure a victory over City. Especially, since winning won’t just earn them a piece of silverware, but also keep their European hopes alive.

Moreover, a revenge over local rivals in a cup final would be the sweetest of victories. Manchester United haven’t been able to beat City this season, losing out on both occasions.

Fans will be hoping that The Red Devils capitalize on their recent form and bring their A-game against City. Fernandes will play a crucial role in the outcome. All eyes from Manchester will be set on the FA Cup Final!
