Bruno Fernandes has opened up on the changes that have taken place since the arrival of Erik Ten Hag. The Portuguese midfielder was full of praise for the new manager.

Manchester United have been on fire in the pre-season. Despite the air of uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo, the attackers have done quite well. Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial have all chipped in with goals.

Bruno Fernandes On The Upcoming Season

Speaking to MUTV, Fernandes talked about the good mood in the dressing room. He admitted that although there is room for improvement, things are on the right track.

We are obviously feeling good, the result will help with that and we are playing good football. There are a lot of things to improve on yet, but we have time to do that and be ready for the first [Premier League] game of the season.

We have been much more aggressive now and the three guys up front have been much more aggressive in the way they press and they are strong too. They make the last line squeeze and it makes the midfielders come a little bit higher, it makes it so, when we recover the ball, we are being closer to the ball too.

We are much fresher to do that, and we have freedom when we recover the ball, because we get to teams and, when they recover, they are really wide. There is loads of space in the middle and, as you said, we are much better on the ball too.

So far, the signs have been positive for the Red Devils. After a dismal season last time, United fans will hope that they can rediscover their form. Fernandes himself was underperforming last season, but it appears that El Magnifico is slowly getting back to his best.
