Bruno Guimaraes confirms that Arsenal made contact with his agent over the summer. However, Bruno Guimaraes was quick to say that he wanted to win a trophy with Lyon. Moreover, he desires to join the Premier League in the future but still wants to win the Ligue 1 with Lyon.

Bruno Guimaraes has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League. However, he wants to win the title with Lyon first. His contract with the French outfit will expire in June 2024. Moreover, it will be difficult for Lyon to win the title against this PSG side. Arsenal can only lure him if they offer him good wages and a good future project where he is included.
The Brazilian said this to Globo, via GFFN,
“Arsenal approached my agent, but there was no offer. My aim and I made it clear to Juninho (Lyon’s sporting director), is to win a title with Lyon,”
“The fans have not had one for a long time. We have the Coupe de France, the Europa League and the league. It is difficult with the level that PSG are at, but anything can happen.
“My aim is to win a title here, but I have never hidden my desire to play in the Premier League.”
What can Bruno Guimaraes provide Arsenal?
The 24-year-old midfielder is also a hard worker when it comes to tackling. He would rather pursue his opponent, luring them in safer areas or, better yet, back to their own goal. Bruno understands that he can physically match opponents, so he doesn’t feel compelled to commit or plunge in headfirst.

That is the perfect kind of midfielder Arsenal wants where he can stop plays and also distribute. The Gunners also want to replace the departing Ainsley Maitland-Niles but Bruno can be more involved than Niles was at Arsenal. This will also provide the required depth Arsenal will need to challenge for multiple trophies in the next season.
If Arsenal can convince him to join at the end of the season then that will be a good signing. However, Arsenal must not wait if he still does want to join because Lyon has not won the title. The Gunners can turn their interest to players like him and should not waste their time.
